About SM City North Edsa

SM City North EDSA is the first SM Supermall operated by SM Prime Holdings, which is the largest retail and mall operator in the Philippines. With a gross floor area of 424,691 square meters, SM City North Edsa is one of the largest in the Philippines.

It is located at the intersection of North Avenue and Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) in Quezon City, approximately a kilometer west of Quezon City Hall and 10 kilometres north of Makati City.

It features the SM Store, its major anchor, an SM Supermarket, a Hypermarket, a Foodcourt, a Skydome which is an Amphitheater for events with more than 1,200 seats, a 12-cinema complex, and much more! It offers over 3,700 parking slots and valet services on three strategic locations.

It all began here. SM City North EDSA innovated and institutionalized the "one-stop shopping complex" and was the first mall in the Philippines to introduce "malling" as a pastime. Besides being a haven for shoppers, the architecture of the mall blends both old and new, creating calming and colorful scenes.

With world-class cinemas, a helpful and convenient transport depot for easy commuting, outdoor parking, and attractive structures, SM City North EDSA aims to be an architectural landmark of Metro Manila's progress, as well as one of the most beautiful structures in the Philippines.

Mr. Henry Sy, Sr.'s Vision

"While I was on my shopping trips abroad during the 1950s and 1960s, I saw the shopping center development in the US from the East to the West Coast. I knew that this would happen in the Philippines."

The Times:

"In 1983, we were building SM City North-EDSA, our first shopping mall. Many people at that time said I was crazy. There was a political crisis; interest rates were as high as 45%, and the location of the mall was in the middle of nowhere. They said that SM City would not succeed, but the mall was an instant success."
